This community started 4 years ago as a small group of like-minded pirates, each with an eye for detail.
We study and research the game in many areas of interest to outline the finer details behind this world we all love to explore.
Our goals are to become an interactive game guide for players to engage and learn alongside our research teams. Our mission is to ensure we provide accurate game information of all topic ranges, backed by game tested research conducted in the field by our team of researchers and made available for any and all to access here in the AIU Library.
Our Research Teams are passionate about Sea of Thieves. many have played since the games launch in early 2018 and still play, learn, and explore to this day. We have a plethora of projects currently under active study and we aim to cover more and more about the game as it grows and expands over time.

The Captain of our Ship, Nayfe is a day 1 Sea of Theives player with nearly 5,000 hours in the game and nearly a full trip around the globe in miles sailed (and yet he still hasn't seen a shrouded ghost). Nayfe is the founder and Lead Dean of the AIU, and Head of the Hoplology department.
Crimson is an AIU Dean and Technician. He has been playing Sea of Thieves for 5 years, and has over 1000 hours put into the game. He enjoys studying the various curses plaguing the seas and archiving journals and other writings found across the seas
Paulbo is an AIU Technician, Dean, and head of the Archives Department. He has been playing Sea of Thieves for 2 years, and has over 1000 hours put into the game. He rose quickly through the ranks in the AIU for his work in archiving quest data.
Media Team
Captain McGuffin is a Boatswain, AIU Social Media Manager, and the Head of the AIU Forensics Department. A pioneer in the Sea Of Thieves, he proved himself on the AIU when he helped the community theorise and solve the Murder of DeMarco Singh.
With over well 4,000 hours ingame, there's very little Soren hasn't experienced ten times over. Nevertheless, the seas remain wild and mysterious, goading for investigation. Soren continues to fuel his desire for knowledge with work in the field with the Forensics team and spreading new developments with the Social Media team.
HarkedCrow, a member of the AIU for almost 2 years, has over 1,000 hours ingame. Crow is a member of the AIU stream team on Twitch, and has a distinct fascination with all things Briggsy.
